Joseph Bergeron, President / CEO

Joe is in his 44th year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions and (formerly) the Vermont Credit Union League.  He has led the organization since 1979, making him the longest sitting President / CEO of any state credit union trade association in the United States.  He is AVCU’s primary point of contact in the areas of Legislative Advocacy, Regulatory Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Management.

During Joe’s leadership of the Association, he has been a member of the Credit Union National Association Board of Directors and currently serves on the Boards of the National Cooperative Business Association and Tricorp Federal Credit Union.  He also currently serves (or has served) on numerous committees for credit union and cooperative interests at both the state and national levels.


Michelle Fullerton, Director of Program Services

Michelle is in her 25th year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions and (formerly) the Vermont Credit Union League, making her the longest tenured current employee.

She is AVCU’s primary point of contact for all aspects of the CU Card ATM / Debit Program, including Research, Regulatory Compliance, Network Administration, and Operations.


Christine Davidson, Vice-President

Christine is in her 3rd year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions, which she joined following a 20+ year career with a Vermont credit union.

She is AVCU’s primary point of contact for Fee-based Services, Partnerships, and CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference, as well as a secondary contact in the areas of Regulatory Compliance, Legal, Legislative Advocacy, and Management.


John Cote, Director of Information Services

John is in his 20th year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions and (formerly) the Vermont Credit Union League.

He is AVCU’s primary point of contact for Communications, Public Relations, Training & Development, Website Administration, Annual Convention, and Special Events, as well as a secondary contact in the areas of Regulatory Compliance, Political Action Committee Donation Tracking, and Information Technology.


Jennifer Malroux, Associate Director of Program Services

Jen is in her 14th year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions.

She is AVCU’s primary point of contact for CU Card Daily Processing and Charge Backs, and a secondary point of contact for all other aspects of the CU Card ATM / Debit Program.


Mary Robert, Finance Administrator

Mary is in her 10th year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions.

She is AVCU’s primary point of contact for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resource Benefits, and Political Action Committee Donation Tracking / Accounting.


Elizabeth Williams, Program Services Specialist

Liz is in her 7th year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions following a 3 year career with a Vermont credit union.

She is one of AVCU’s primary points of contact for CU Card Daily Processing.


Wil Mobus, Program Services Specialist

Wil is in his 2nd year of service to the Association of Vermont Credit Unions.

He is one of AVCU’s primary points of contact for CU Card Daily Processing.
